While I was staying with Melandnicole (they have become one entity) we went to the theater to see The Powerpuff Girls Movie. I thought it would be a lame girly-ized version of the show -- which I do enjoy from time to time. I was, however, pleasantly surprised (very similar to the time I saw and liked Josie and the Pussycats).
After watching it, I have decided that it was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen . . . seriously. Maybe you have to be a fan of the show to appreciate some of the humor, but I thought it was excellently done. The animation was cool, the voices were good, the characters were well-played, and the plot was simplistic but still enjoyable.
If nothing else, go to see this movie for Mojo Jojo. Jojo shines in this movie! If you thought he was hilarious on the show wait until you see his primate army. But oh, I've said too much. Just go see the movie. Trust me, you'll like it!
